Our Chicago Photo and Video Scanning team is made up of creative professionals skilled in photography, film, audio, and video production. We’re continuing to grow and have expanded into more cities across the US, helping families preserve and rediscover their history.
Highlights
Our New Office
In 2025, we expanded into a new 3,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Chicago’s Lincoln Park / Old Town neighborhood. We also continue to serve families through our long-running Cincinnati shop.
NBC's Today Show
Chicago Scanning was recently featured on NBC’s Today Show, sharing our mission to preserve family memories. The segment highlighted the growing need to digitize aging photos, slides, and home videos.
Our Team Expansion
Our team has expanded to nine creative professionals six in Chicago and three in Cincinnati, Ohio. We’ve also upgraded our digital tools with new scanners, restoration systems, and a faster delivery process.
Chicago Scanning History
2014
Before it was Chicago Scanning, it was just Jason, a laptop, a printer/scanner, and a coffee table. One year later, the phone started ringing.
2015
A 200 sq. ft. shared office space at WeWork in Chicago’s West Loop became the testing grounds for Chicago Scanning, The Business.
2018
Chicago Scanning found its first official home — a cozy 600 sq. ft. retail space on Irving Park Road that proudly put us on the map.
2019
We made a bold leap from our small shop to a spacious office in Bucktown, expanding our team, strengthening our identity, and deepening the trust we’ve built with the Chicago community.
